If you are interested in a tailor-made private cruise, please prepare the following basic information: sailing date, departure time, length of the cruise and number of people.
Based on this information, we will select the most suitable boat for you, which will be available on time and suit the size of your group.
In case you do not have this information yet, we are only able to provide you with an indicative price, without guaranteeing the availability of the boat.
How is a private cruise paid?
Private cruises must always be paid in advance by bank transfer. Before payment is on a so-called pre-booking, which you can cancel at any time. Once payment has been received, we will make a fixed booking on the boat of your choice on that date. If you do not pay the cruise on time, the boat may not hold your pre-booking and may be given to another interested party. For this reason, we always require at least 50% payment in advance if the cruise is more than 1 month away to ensure that the boat will be available for you on that date. The rest must be paid at least 1 week before the cruise, unless it is a last minute cruise.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Yes, if the cruise is only on a tentative reservation it is possible to cancel it. If it is on a fixed reservation, the procedure is as per our General Conditions for cancellation or amendment https://www.cruise-prague.cz/eng/general-contitions/. In case that you wish to change the date or time of your cruise, we will look for a new option for your cruise either on the same ship or another ship.
Where the boats depart from? Private cruises usually depart from Dvořák's quay between the Čechovy and Štefánik bridges, but it depends on the boat. Each boat has its own place where it leaves from and where it returns to.
Is it possible to have refreshments during the cruise? Each ship has its own specific menu of buffets and refreshments, which can be customized according to your wishes. All boats are able to arrange vegetarian menus as well as meals for vegans. Each boat has its own bar where you can order from a wide range of drinks (hot, cold, alcoholic or non-alcoholic) or small snacks.
Is it possible to bring your own snacks/alcohol? On a private cruise, it is possible to have your own drinks or catering by arrangement with the specific boat, but this raises the price of the boat rental.
Drinks are paid for directly on the boat, or you can order a drinks package for the whole cruise which is paid in advance.
Do the boats go in any weather conditions? All boats are heated and air-conditioned, with indoor decks and outdoor covered decks. The Vltava does not freeze, so it is sailed 365 days a year. In case of strong winds the boats have to stay anchored and in this situation the cruise cannot take place.
What is the route of the cruise? The one-hour cruise sails between the chambers Smíchov and Štvanice. You will see the city centre, Prague Castle and pass under the Charles Bridge. Lunch/dinner cruises sail through the lock so you can see the whole centre including Vyšehrad. Private cruise itineraries can be planned individually according to your wishes and availability.
Is it possible to provide your own music? Yes, your own music is not a problem, otherwise we will be happy to provide it for you.
Is there a projector and screen on the boat? Yes, most larger boats allow this.
Is it possible to change the table arrangement? If the space and layout of the boat allows it, then yes, but it depends on the boat.
Can we bring our dog? On most boats it is possible to bring a smaller dog. It is better to deal individually from cruise to cruise and of course at your own risk.
Is the cruise also accessible for wheelchairs/pushchairs? Definitely yes, but the width of the entrance is smaller than the standard door. Generally, if you are able to fold the manual wheelchair/pushchair and transfer the disabled person/child to the ship, then there should be no problem. Please note that the toilets are not wheelchair accessible.
In addition to cruises, we can also offer guided tours and excursions in Prague or outside of Prague.
Cars and buses are not allowed to enter and park on the embankment.
